Artem Oleynik —
An Artist of Motion and Elegance

My name is Oleynik Artem – an Artist with a passion for Ferrari & Formula 1 Motorsport. I was born in Ukraine at 23. of April 1982 in a town called “Nikopol” in Ukraine. I am an Artist who draws on a pure passion to recreate the wildest ideas & dreams into reality. My way of art is based on a passion, desires & vision that only I could possibly see – not on a money or business matter. Most of the paint is or has been drawn with a spirit, emotions & tension of the freedom that you could feel by observing my art & life connoisseur.

It has all started by the age of 12, when I have moved out from my motherhood town “Nikopol” into the city called “Kharkiv” in the north east of Ukraine where I was participating in the elementary school of Art – named  of Repen, where I learned the foundational concepts of technical art.

Following my school-graduation, I served in the military, a period during which I continued to develop my artistic skills and gained invaluable practical experience through hands-on creative work. At the age of 28, with the full support of my wife, I decided to formally pursue automotive design by enrolling in the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. However, the academic environment felt restrictive. The standard curriculum didn’t align with my true passions, so I stepped away from traditional classes to independently focus on my own artistic subjects: the racing automotive industry and, specifically, Formula 1. Early on, I was deeply inspired by the artist Yurii Shevchuk from the capital city of Ukraine with his watercolor artwork depicting sports cars. Later, a new professor joined my department at the academy; he recognized my inner fire and potential, which fundamentally opened my eyes to my own capabilities. I chose a path distinct from my peers, never following the standard lecture assignments. Although I did graduate with a formal degree, the experience allowed me to deeply study art and technique on my own terms.

A major turning point came through my professor and mentor, Dmitry Yefimenko, who introduced me to classical painting techniques at a time when I was still painting cars using gouache. While other students strictly followed the rules, I invented my own. Over the next four years, fueled by the night shifts in my apartment, I painted constantly. With Mr. Yefimenko’s consideration about the real time on the work, he has still hyped me up and turned the spark into a fire— that made him a great teacher and a friend along the way.

In the first days of my career Nikolay Panuli has had a major influence for me as an automotive artist and for me as a great friend & colleague. He was introducing my painting casually to the large number of events of the automotive and art industry and the Grand Prix exhibitions.

By the year of 2017, I have started a new passion collection – Miss Ferrari. The passion was to draw the most Classic brand of an Automotive Industry ever, “Ferrari” and combine with a desire of a female beauty, for myself. In the first for me studio I did want to express, grow and make bigger paintings, technicaly & spiritually. It has been and is every time a freedom to paint something that I naturally &  purely aspire in my own creation, in my world. It was never meant as a business matter, however as a freedom and personal interest.
